1st Pilning Brownies
Brownies is about trying new things which teach girls of 7 to 10 years old about themselves, their community and their world, introducing them to new opportunities, challenges and fun. They get together with their friends to learn new hobbies, get creative, explore other cultures and have outdoor adventures. Girls also choose from interest badges related to things they want to know more about and have camps, day trips and sleepovers.

the village players
The Village Players, established 1980, have entertained the Parish, and beyond, for almost forty years, in Pilning Village Hall. The Hall’s tiny stage suits the Players well and the Committee have always been most helpful and generous in permitting this amateur theatre group to continue to make use of the stage and facilities. The Players currently perform an adult play in May and a pantomime, involving young people as well as adults, in December, though several young people are learning new theatre skills alongside the adults in the adult productions. All welcome, not just actors! There’s far more to a production than the acting! Why not come along and find out?
